At Achilles Air Conditioning we look at our staff as extended family. We have several employees of over 20 years tenure and some of 30+ years. Treating our employees as family has always been a core value of our company and Achilles management staff remains committed to continuing it in the years to come.

Preston Achilles – Owner/President
Preston was born in Missouri and relocated to Tucson in 1970. Preston joined his father Lloyd in 1979 to open a contracting division. During the 80’s and 90’s Preston broadened the division to include larger commercial, industrial and medical HVAC work. Preston has served with Arizona Builders Alliance for over 20 years as past president and currently serves on the board. Now in its third generation, sons Jon and Matt work alongside Preston to continue to build on the Achilles reputation for quality, dependability and service that has been our driving force for over 35 years.

Jon Achilles – Vice President of Operations
Jon was born and raised in Tucson and he began working in the Fabrication Shop during his teenage years. Right after high school graduation Jon started full time at Achilles and trained under the best mechanical installers. Jon served as a project manager for several years and then began to run the construction division. Jon and his team of project managers always strive to provide the best possible product and service to their customers. Jon now works in the Sales department working on estimating and preliminary design budgets. Jon values all of his fellow co-workers at Achilles and promotes a Team Approach in all aspects of the business.

Matt Achilles – Vice President of Sales
Matt started with the company in 2003 and has been involved in all phases of the construction process over the past 11 years including duct fabrication, installation, job foreman, drafting and project management. Over the past three years Matt has been working in the Sales Department focusing on work with the best local General Contractors, Owners and Consultants.  

Bill Hutcherson – Controller
Bill was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but has lived in Tucson for over 30 years. He has been involved with accounting for over 25 years and always strives for accuracy. His primary objective is honesty and integrity in all financial activities at Achilles. Bill is in charge of human resources and serves as part of the management team.

Sandy Lipe – Project and Safety Coordinator
Sandy has worked in construction for over 14 years. She came to work at Achilles as the Contract Administrator back in 2014 and, because of her hard work and obvious capabilities, quickly advanced to Project and Safety Coordinator. For Sandy, work values are simple and straightforward: honesty, integrity and dependability. The emphasis that Achilles always places on service to their customers is one of the things that Sandy is most proud of.
